At Newtons Junior School, we believe that every child deserves more than a classroom. Every child deserves a chance to learn with dignity, grow in a safe environment, have enough food to concentrate, and believe that their future can be different.

But for some of the children we serve, simply coming to school is already a major achievement.

Many of our pupils come from underprivileged and vulnerable backgrounds. Some face poverty, food insecurity and limited access to basic school necessities. For some children, the meal they receive at school may be the only meal they have that day.

This is why we are asking for your support.

Through our community support initiatives, Newtons Junior School works to provide children with:

Nutritious meals to help children learn with energy and concentration
Basic school supplies to support their education
A safe and child-friendly learning environment
Support for teachers and caregivers
Care and encouragement for vulnerable children
Opportunities to participate in sports, music, arts and other activities

Our Daily Meal Program aims to provide every child with at least one warm, nutritious meal each school day. The school estimates that UGX 1,000 can help provide a meal for one child for a day.
